  2. My favorite book is Wennie Has Wings. I like this book because it is sad and funny at the same time. Some parts make you question the book, but then in another part of the book, it gives you the answer to your question. It is the best book Iv'e read.

  3. My favorite book is the Book Thief because I love the way the plot is laid out. All in all, I just think it is a really great book. i think that even though it is a college level book, what book about the holocaust isn't? I just really like the story line and the way Death tells the story. His point of veiw is really interesting and dark. That is why I like the Book Thief so much.

  4. You know, I really don't have one favorite book, but I like a few series.
My first favorite series is the Warriors series. I like this series because the author gives so much description (most of the time) that it feels like you're actually there.
I also like the Pendragon series because it just makes you want to keep reading and you never know what's going to happen next.
The last series I like is the Little House on the Prairie series because you get to know what life was like in the 1800's. After you finish the first book, you begin to realize how different life was back then.
Those are the series I like the most. (So far...)

  5. My favorite book is probably The Tale of Desperaux. One of the reasons I like it is because the author mad seem like an old fashioned book from mideavil times. I thought it was much better than the movie. My favorite part was when Desperaux rescued the princess. It's a great book.

  8. My favorite book would probably be the Book theif because it has suspense and shows another side of Germany. I love how Death tells the story and a different view from how other people would describe Death. It's also just a good book with it's description and characters.

  9. I like the book Mornings on Horseback. It is about Teddy Roosevelt. It is really interesting because it is about T.R. when he was a boy. He grew up in a very strange family. It is by a college professor. I have no real favorite book. But I really like Mornings on Horseback.

  10. I don't have a favorite book. I have a few favorite series though. One of them is the Tom Clancy series. I like this series because the author has extremely detailed language. My favorite book in this series(that I have read), Is "The Sum of All Fears".

Another series I like is the Scott Pilgrim books. Even though they are comics, they are still amazing and hilarious! The author has a corrupted mind with dirty jokes. The books are super serious at one point, then they are super weird and exciting!

Also, I like the Percy Jackson series. It is not my favorite, but they are still good. I like them because the author uses very vivid language. Rick Riordan makes parodied books of the Greek gods. The books also have a amazing sense of humor.

Then again, I really like The Breadwinner. The book tells from what could be a real Afghan girl's perspective. The war is going on with the Taliban taking over country by country. Some people think this at first, but the book is not about winning bread!

To top it all off, I think The Westing Game is the best. I normally hate murder mysteries. This one, however has to be one of the best books I have ever read! For reasons I can't say, it is my favorite book, so far.

  11. You know I really don’t have a favorite book because I’ve read so many! But right now I really like the series Al Capone Does My Shirts and Al Capone Shines My Shoes. I love the suspense of it all! I like how it describes the cell house as such a terrible place, the way the wind howls through the bars and how once in a while you hear a loud scream. It made me feel like I was actually a character inside the book living, dreaming, and experiencing.

I also like how the plot is layed out too, one minute you are reading happy with the entire book because nothing terrible is happening. The next moment you feel like you need to read more and more and never stop because it is so exciting! I love how the mood changes throughout the story.

Last but not least I have been on Alcatraz before so I can connect with the characters.I can feel as if I am Moose, the main character living on Alcatraz Island, feeling how bare it is with no vegetation at all, just a flat rock in the middle of the ocean. I love this book for all these reasons.

  12. My favorite books are the Baudalare series. They have plenty of action and suspense, plus hilarious side comments. Most of the characters are very dumb. The Baudelaires however, are extraordinarily smart. Violet can invent, Klaus reads and knows facts, and Sunny is an expert at cooking. Unfortunately, Count Olaf (either their second cousin seven times removed, or their seventh cousin twice removed) is also very smart. He is one of the evilest most terrible villains you will ever come across. He is a serial killer, a thief, a fraud, a kidnapper, and a horrible actor. But somehow, they escape. Thats what makes the books so good.

  15. Well,I love this book, (it's a true story) but I can't remember it's name.
It's about a boy named Dylan, and his (cubscout?) troop goes to this island or something and they meet these guys with horses. Dylan has to work with a bully to help save the members of his troop and the other dudes from the disaster after an earthquake.

    It's a bummer that I can't remember it's name, because it's a really good book.

  16. It's kind of hard to tell which book is my favorite. One of my favorite so far is the bread winner. The quote "the taliban encourage neighbor to spy on neighbor" makes me thank about my neibor. The bread winner is a very good book.you should read it!
