- I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia for my undergrad. I have a Masters in Elementary Education from Regis. I come from a family with four kids. My sister is a teacher in Chicago. One of my brothers lives here and the other one lives in Chicago. I moved here because my husband loved Colorado and I loved him. As it turns out,I love Colorado as well.
I think that Constance's talent or gift is that she is stubborn and doesn't care what anybody else thinks "But we aren't really in danger, are we?" . Reynie's gift is being smart and he can deal with things, even if he doesn't like them. Kate's talent is being athletic and exotic in a way that will help her to escape locked rooms and such. Sticky's talent is being smart, and he can really remember valuable information. Camilla
ReplyDeleteReynard has the ability of noticing things others don't, such as the squares being rectangles in the room. Sticky is very smart, and he uses his own knoweldge instead of using the clues. Kate has the strength and ability to do amazing things(especially with the bucket)due to training in the circus. Constance is just sarcastic, rude, and persistant, but she can still make way through life.

Reynie has the talent to notice and figure out small things." It was another trick. Those weren't squares on the floor. They were rectangles. There sides weren't all the same lenght."(pg.49) Sticky is able to read read whole books in a few minutes and walk away with all the knowledge. Kate's ability is to find a way to do anything with her bucket supplies. She can pass any test with it. Constance ability is to be a snarky jerk to everybody and act all tough.
ReplyDeleteI think that Rennie is good at nodicing things that the other children do not like the pattern on the tiles in the maze. Sticky is good at rembering things like he retraced his steps perfectly like things stick in his head. Kate is a very athletic person and is good at facing problems head on. I know the story so I can only say this she is very rude and sarcastic.
ReplyDeleteReynie's strength is figuring out puzzles and noticing small details. In the test he noticed that the repeated information gave the answer to the other problems. Kate can judge distances and weights almost exactly. "'Oh, I can always tell distances and weights and that sort of thing,' said Kate with a shrug. She glanced around. 'For example, just by looking at it I can tell this room is twenty-two feet long and sixteen feet wide.'"(p.40) Sticky has a photographic memory and remembers every single detail. I don't know about Constance, but she sure is constantly annoying.(haha!)

Each kid is different, because that's how they all got in. Reynie is very observant, and always finds loopholes, or just figures things out. Sticky remembers pretty much everything, but gets nervous easily. Kate is a sassy little circus freak, who can guess perfectly how long, deep, heavy or wide something is.("Oh,I can always tell distances and weights and that sort of thing," said Kate with a shrug.) -pg 40
ReplyDeleteConstance is rude, small, and bratty, kind of like my sister in a mood. She loves to get her way, and if she doesn't, she throws a fit. ("Rather than finish the maze, Constance chose a quiet corner and sat down to have a picnic. It took Milligan some time to find her." "I'm not apologizing." Constance said.) -pg 77
I think these kids have rare special talents, that brought them to a once in a life time opportunity that I would love to have a chance to get to.

i think Rennie is good at paying attention. By paying attention he figures it out. Constance is only two and can speak fluently. Sticky is smart and good at math. Kate is very athletic and has useful tools. "- and if I didn't hve my bucket with me, shed have been up a creek without a paddle." page 39
