Mockingjay due 1/21

Do you feel the use of Katniss for the war was any different than how Panem used the teenagers in The Hunger Games? How does propaganda aid or hurt District 13?

    Propaganda is always the difference between what people think like when they thought that Katniss died or was seriously injured. Katniss is being used just like she was in the hunger games. It is just a new situation and they are so called "allies". She is stuck always in bad situations.

    I think that the biggest difference between the two is the purpose of the propaganda. The Hunger Games were more of a message that any scent of rebellious feelings would be demolished by the capitol. The propagandas message was more of a “we are coming for you” or the message was a spark of rebellion to light the flame in the other districts. Though, when you think about it, Katniss has always been a pawn in the chess game of Panem. Even after she got out of the games she was a piece that was to rebellious to follow orders in either place. So no I don’t think that the way district thirteen uses her is any different.
    As to if the propaganda hurts thirteen or not, I think that it helps thirteen in the respect of making the capitol fearful and this out ways the damages.

    In a way the teenagers represent Katniss because the teenagers like talk like Katniss has to or they have to go crazy like Katniss does in the propos ,but they have to show it in the games which is alot harsher. The only difference I think really is ,is that Katnss has to tuff it out more than the multiple tributes because there is only one of her and so many of them. The only way the propos really aid 13 is to stall Snow or make him angry or possibly even start the war.
