Mockinjay due 1/13

District 13 was mentioned in all the books in the "Hunger Games Trilogy." Yet, in this book is seems that it is one of the main characters. What is the role of District 13 in "Mockingjay?"

  1. Well personally I always thought she was going to go there because Katniss said in the first book that it was torn to pieces but then you kind of figured out that because it was a little supicious. The role it plays it alittle huge like Ronin and I were talking about it well plays the rebel base like in Star Wars. So it plays were they live there home everyones family is there they have th doctors and if that place was attacked then they would lose everything if they lost because that is all they have got. I was a little suprised with what happened to her prep team and Cinna also with Beetee maing the talking bow I think this book is starting to get a little good.

  2. I think that district thirteen played the same role that Hoth did in Star Wars. They are very alike in my opinion because they are both were in a war and they both were under attack. Another reason that they are alike is nobody would ever go to Hoth very often because of the extreme weather conditions. Nobody goes to district thirteen because of the massive radiation. The final reason they are alike is no one can go out to the surface for to long nor can they go very far at all. However, they do have many differences, the biggest difference was that in Star Wars, Hoth was an open and public planet, in Mocking jay district thirteen was a literally and figuratively underground.
    Ronin.
