DO NOT READ THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED THE BOOK!!! Is the murder of Ratchett justified? Why or why not?

  1. I think the murder of Ratcett is justified. I think that for many reasons. First, because Ratcett, (Cassiti) had taken, and, horrifically killed little Daisy Armstrong, and so many other babies. Hence, the people associated with the Armstrong family had a plethora of reasons to murder Ratcett aka, Cassiti. In conclusion, Ratcetts murder is justified.

  2. I believe Ratchett’s murder was justified, considering that all the murderers were connected to the Armstrong case. He had seriously hurt the Armstrong family. He was also slightly responsible for the Italian’s daughter’s death. They all had reasons to murder him. In conclusion, Ratchett’s murder was justified.

  3. I believe Ratchett's murder was justified. In the court of law he would be sentenced to the death penalty, so what they did was what he have been sentenced to anyway. Also, everyone stabbed him, but nobody knows who actually did the killing blow. Therefore, nobody could be convicted to murder, only battery and assault. In the matter of Poirot giving a false answer to the cops, the murder was justified so this was not wrong. The murder of Ratchett (Cassetti) was justified in every way.

  4. I do believe the murder of Ratchett is justified. First, Ratchett was already going to be killed because he committed murder as well. Also, the people on the train were so close to Daisy that since Cassetti evaded execution, they had the right to carry the action out. Finally, the twelve people may actually had been sentenced to be Ratchett's executioners. In conclusion, Ratchett's murder was definitely justified.
