Mrs. Frisby Due 3/22

The rats talk about how the NIMH experiments changed them so that other rats were wary of them and would not accept them. Do you think that this was also true for the mice? Mrs. Frisby doesn't seem to have noticed anything different or strange about her husband or Mr. Ages. She also accepts his teaching her how to read and explaining things such as electricity without question. Why do you think this is?

  1. No, I do not think that it is the same with the mice for three reasons. First, I think that the mice fit in perfectly and nobody could tell that anything was wrong with them. Second, after NIMH the mice in the book got married to other mice that weren’t normal and their spouses didn’t notice anything different about them. Two of the examples of this is that Mr. Ages became a doctor for the other mice and Jonathan married Mrs. Frisby. The final reason that I think that the mice are not different after coming out of NIMH, is that no one, according to the book, tried to exclude them. In conclusion, the mice did not have the same outcome as the rats that came out of NIMH.
Mrs. Frisby accepted being taught to read and electricity without question because she didn’t suspect there was anything wrong with the mice. They seemed the same and she trusted them.

  2. There is only one answer to these three simple questions. The scientists gave the rats of Nimh pills that made them live a longer life that is why the rats of Nimh are not accepted. Mrs. Frisby did not notice anything weird about her husband and Mr.Ages because they keep it a secret. I do not think it is the same for the mice because the mice did not take the pill that makes them live a longer life than usual. Also she does not notice when Jonathan teaches her incredibly smart things because she thinks it comes natural for him. In conclusion, she never notices and the rats aren't accepted also the mice never have to deal with not being accepted. Mylie

  3. There is a good answer to these questions. An answer to the first one is a few scientists gave Mr. Frisby and Mr. Ages a pill so they live longer. The answer to the second one is not the same. The mice did not take a pill so they live the regular time. Also Mr. Frisby did not notice Jonathan is teaching all of her incredible smarts. That is my answer.

  4. Yes I do think the mice were unaccepted by their kind. Because... the book said the mice stayed with the rat being, that if the regular mice saw the changed mice with the rats(who were also different because of their super smarts) they would not accept them.

Mrs.Frisby accepted Johnathon because he was her husband. Also she did not live with the other mice therefore not being suspicious like all the other mice.
In conclusion, The mice would not be accepted. And Mrs.Frisby accepted johnathon because he was her wife and that she did not live with the other mice.
