Before you meet the rats, what is your opinion of them? What do the other animals think of them? In general (outside of the book), how are rats thought of? Why do you think the author chose rats as the “heroes” in this book? How are the rats in this story different than rats you encounter in other stories?

In the beginning, I think that the rats were a bunch of dirty scum, because they are eating trash and they are just discusting. In general rats are considered germy and sickening. The ways they are gross is that they can carry diseases. I think that the author Robert C. O’Brien, chose rats to be the heroes, because it is a nice change. Rats are usually the bad guys. In conclusion, I think that rats are under estimated and treated badly.

My opinion about the rats before I met them is that they were evil rats. Also, the other animals refer to them as helpers ,but hard to get. In general people think of rats as dirty, stinky, ugly pests. I think the author made the rats heroes because rats are usally the villans ,but the author made that change by having the rats be eroes for once. The rats in this story are diffrent than the rats in other stories because rats are supose to be gross ,but in this story they are perfectly fine creatures.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion of the rats before I met them was they were dispicable evil.Also, other people {outside of the book} think as rats as dirty gross creatures. The author uses rats as heros for a humorus way because rats are usay villans. In the book they are heroic brave creatures.

Before I met the rats, I thought they rude. I think that the other animals think that the rats only care about them selves. I think that out side the book rats are not the most liked animal in the worled. outside the book rats have rabies and people dont like animals with rabies. I think the author chouse rats to be the hero because rats are a good exparement. In conclusion, that is what I think of the rats.

My opinion of the rats before I met them is they were useless. Yet, the other animals thought the rats were helpful. In general people think of rats as useless, ugly animals.I think the author made the rats good and helpful. I think he made the rats good because rats are actually good not bad. the rats in this story are different from what people think rats are in life

My opinion about the rats was that they were going to be bad. Surprisingly, they aren’t. People think of them as gross, ugly rodents, but in the story, they are pretty good. Most of the time rats are evil. Not in this one.
