Murder on the Orient Express

DO NOT READ THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED THE BOOK!!! Is the murder of Ratchett justified? Why or why not? You must blog twice.

  1. I do not think Ratchett's murder was justified at all. Even if Ratchett was a kidnapper, it just wouldn't be reasonable because it was STILL A MURDER, and it was commited by twelve people. It's just not right in my opinion to let twelve murderers run free, to say murder is okay.

  2. I think that it is okay that they murdered him, because of all the bad things he did in his past which he was not caught for so his consequences just got up for him. So I think its okay that Ratchett got murdered and that the murders did not do a bad thing because of what he did to poor daisy.

  3. Yes!!! Completely!!! Ratchett got what he deserved! The Armstrong murder is so similar to the Lindberhg case that was so horrible. As Mrs. Hubbard said,"The police gave the sentence, but he escaped. We were just doing what was already going to happen." I think it was brave of her to stick out her neck for everyone and offer to take the blame (I always liked her...). It was very clever of everyone to change their personalities and selves to make them somebody else. It was also very, very smart of M. Poroit to figure it all out. Personally, Ratchett (Casetti) got what he deserved. All I can say to Mrs. Rigsby is,"You are awesome! I loved this book! THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!"

  4. I disagree with Desi since, like in my first blog, Mrs. Hubbard said,"The police gave the sentence, but he escaped. We were just doing what was already going to happen."

  5. No!Rachett tottaly did not deserve it it. The things that he did in the past were incrediby cruel and horrible. But I still don't believe it was right.I love the book. I want to read all of the Hercule Poirot mysteries. Although I thought Mrs. Hubbard was a suspect, I actually always had a little thing for the woman. This was one of the most insanely awesome books I have ever read. After all, I would have never picked up this book unless someone told me that it has such a strange twist at the end.

  6. Zoe and Pilar, I hate to disagree with a friend, but would you really let 12 murderers just go on with there merry lives stabbing people? If I was a murderer (which you all know I'm not!) I would turn myself in, that's how guilty I would feel if no one turned me in.I also wouldn't be able to sleep at night keeping the secret if I was Poirot.
Sorry Zoe and Pilar, I just can't agree on this one.

  7. I agree with Zoe, I also think that the murder was okay and the murders should not be charged, like I said in my blog it was just revenge on Rachett for all the horrible things he did to Daisy and all the others.

  8. I think the murderer was justified because Rachett was Casseti and he kidnapped the Armstrong baby but what I think was kind of clumsy is that they each took a turn stabbing him and they all split up and got caught.

  9. I think Casseti's murderer was justified because he did kidnapp the armstrong baby but the clumsy thing was that they split up and each took aturn stabbing him.
