I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia for my undergrad. I have a Masters in Elementary Education from Regis.
I come from a family with four kids. My sister is a teacher in Chicago. One of my brothers lives here and the other one lives in Chicago. I moved here because my husband loved Colorado and I loved him. As it turns out,I love Colorado as well.
Okay....so you might hate me for making you stop reading! Who do you think the murderer is now? Use information from the text to support your answer. This is worth five points.
I think the murder is still Sydelle Pulaski. I also think it is part suicide. On pg 78 Sydelle says,"Don't look so worried Angela. I'm all right." I think Sydelle is the bomber. She said that people would notice her soon. At Mr. Hoo's restaraunt Sydelle probably forgot when the bomb would go off and went inside and got blown up.
My prediction did change. It does not say the real name but it does say his nickname. "The Bomber" is his name. On page 79 it says" but the Wexler apartment was exactly were the bomber planned to set the next bomb." on previous chapters, Mr.Hoo’s restaurant and cafe got bombed. The first few chapters it says that the "Barney Northrup" gave the apartment's of sunset towers to "they were mothers, fathers and children. A dressmaker, a secretary, an inventor, a doctor, a judge, a bookie, a burglar a bomber and a mistake."(Page 5) ~lucero
Right now, at this point in the book I have many ideas about who the murderer is but one character stands out of all of them. Like I said before, I did the process of elimination. I know it’s not Sydelle Pulaski, because the author makes you think it’s obvious that it is her. In most mystery books, the murderer is always who you least expect. For example, the author makes it obvious it is her when she made Sydelle wore the dress with purple waves on it, and when she got out her notes during the will reading. I think right now that it is Angela Wexler, Turtle’s sister. She seems like the angel as it says in her name. I think that maybe this is a clue that it is her. It seems like Angela knows what is going on. She likes her partner Sydelle as it states on page 61 when Grace, her mom says “I can’t understand what has got into you Angela, coming to this party in that old checkered dress and those awful accessories. Just because your partner dresses like a freak…” In the book Angela answers “She’s not a freak, Mother.” I think this is a little weird because in all the other parts of the book she is a complete angel and all of a sudden in this part she talks back to her mother. Maybe this is a clue to tell you who the murderer is. When I was reading this I wondered why she doesn’t really seem to want to marry Doc. Denton Deere and seems shy around him. Maybe this was because he is involved in the crime somehow, and even possibly told her this. Whenever he is in the room she kind of sinks back and doesn’t really show herself as she really is. When she is around Sydelle, though, she is a new person. I think that this is possibly this is an important clue leading to who the murderer is. In the book it says that Angela thought these exact thoughts. “No she did not want to get married. Not right away. But she couldn’t say it, she couldn’t tell him- them-not like that. Denton would be so hurt. Her mother… The engagement was announced in the newspaper, the wedding gown, the shower… But once they found out she wasn’t their perfect Angela…” (page 86). I think when she says “but once they found out she wasn’t their perfect Angela” it’s a little fishy. I think that it means she might be the murderer… might. This is why I think that the murderer is Angela Wexler/Angel. Nell
I think that the murderer is sydellepullaski because shes always saying and no one would notice i think she got tired of it and killed sam westing but regreted it because now there is this huge contest to find the murderer.[she could have a heart attac and no one would notice.]page 68 abraham
