I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia for my undergrad. I have a Masters in Elementary Education from Regis.
I come from a family with four kids. My sister is a teacher in Chicago. One of my brothers lives here and the other one lives in Chicago. I moved here because my husband loved Colorado and I loved him. As it turns out,I love Colorado as well.
Phoebe is the narrator of the book, how is this book "therapy" for her? What other things does she do to help her through her loss? Please edit your response for grammar and spelling errors. This is worth five points.
I think what helped Phoebe about mick’s loss is she said his name over, and over again, and said things about him. I think this is one of the very best books I have ever read in my life. And I recommend reading it. This is a sad but funny book. And remember to wear your bike helmet. malik
I think that Phoebe wrote the book because she needed someone to talk to about her brother. Another reason she might have written the book is that the book is her diary. Her book could be therapy because she needs to get all of her pain out. Another person that she lost is her great grandmother. All I have to say about this book is to always wear your helmet when you are on your bike.
I think what helped Phoebe with her loss was that she had a friend she could tock to at midnight. She also went to ware it happen and I think that helped with what happened. I liked the book and did not think it was sad. That is what I think helped with Phoebe's loss.
In a way I think Phoebe wrote the book. Its like she needed to talk about her brother.another way is her loss so she had to talk about it. Its cindove like its a life diary for her. Remember, when your riding your bike, wear a helmet for safety reasons.
I think Phoebe wrote the book because she loved her brother and she wanted to remember Mick. The book was like a diary telling about the first month after he died. She was able to talk about the good parts of his life and the sad parts after his death in the book. She talks in front of the whole school about bike helmet safety and etches his name into the wet cement to help her through his death. She etched his name to remember that he was once alive here and not lost.
This book is like therapy for Phoebe because she is trying to express herself and tell her feelings.I think that by writing this book Phoebe put her emotions in her writing.Plus she told kids to always wear your helmet on your bike. She also said Mick's name again and again to remember him and try to end her suffering. That is why this book is therapy for Phoebe. -Mylie
Phoebes loss was her brother. By writing his story it helped Phoebe remember her brother. Also to help remember her brother when she was upset, she would run to Mick's old room and cry on his bed. Also to help remember her brother at school where she can't cry on his bed, she printed "Mick Hart Was Here" in drying cement. Tom
