The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Discuss the relationship between Bruno and Gretel. Why does Bruno seem younger than nine?

  1. Gretel and Bruno have a really sometimes love, sometimes hate relationship. They agreed on the "children" outside the window. I think they watched a concentration camp. Bruno seems younger to I think Gretel because of his childish mind and fantasies.

  2. He and Gretle are very different. Boy girl. Gretle has her dolls and Brono has his toys.

Bruno seems younger than 9 because he acts like he's 6 and isn't to smart.

  3. Bruno and Gretel are not very close. When they saw the military people and prisoners, they seemed scared but Gretel still tried to prove him wrong sometimes. Bruno seems younger than nine because he is so small.

  4. Bruno and Gretel are two very different poeple. Gretel playes with her dolls while Bruno looks out the window. They are both very spioled, witch makes them both younger then the actually are. I sometimes feel like Bruno, I wish we left my sister at the old house.

  5. Bruno seems younger than nine because he has always been pampered, never having to do anything by himself. He also has always been perfectly clean, never caring about anyone but himself. He calls Gretel, " A Hopeless Case" because there is no hope that they will ever get along. He also thinks she is annoying.

  6. I think that Bruno and Gretel have a complicated relashonship. I think this is true because they seem to pretend to not like each other but, in truth they really do need each other to talk to. I think that Bruno seems younger because the way his parents and his sister treat him and talk to him. I also agree with Camilla because he is spoiled and has never had to do thing on his own. In conclusion I think that Bruno wants to get along with Gretel but, will never admit it.
