  2. The Rosetta Stone was so important in Egyptian history because people forgot all about hieroglyphics until the Rosetta Stone was discovered. Carter’s dad thought that he could use the Rosetta Stone to summon the god Osiris. His plan was to raise Carter’s mom back from the dead. (“Dad raised his arms. He chanted: “Wo-seer, i-ei.”” Page 23)

  3. the Rosetta stone is an ancient artifact through history because as time passed Egyptian letters were forgotten so it was a "cheat sheet" for most hieroglyphs. In the book however the Rosetta stone was also an ancient artifact but was a channel of magic (used in this case an attempt of summoning a god)for bigger spells than can be performed alone.

  4. The Rosetta stone is important because when a french man discovered it it gave us the key as to how to read the Egyptian laguage. It consisted of three languages, italian, greek, and Egyptian. Without it, the modern civilivation would know nothing about ancient Egypt and their language. It would all be a mystery.
