- I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia for my undergrad. I have a Masters in Elementary Education from Regis. I come from a family with four kids. My sister is a teacher in Chicago. One of my brothers lives here and the other one lives in Chicago. I moved here because my husband loved Colorado and I loved him. As it turns out,I love Colorado as well.
Rudy's relationship with Liesel is very strong. I don't think Rudy is in love with Liesel, he just doesn't want to tell that he has a freind that is a girl. Rudy affects Liesel by being stubborn, and making her do things that get her in trouble. Liesel and Rudy have an great relationship that cannot be broken, except by death, hint hint. Rudy pays no attention to what acctually is going on, he thinks it is all fun and games. Liesel knows what is going on, and tries to warn Rudy. " For some reason they had come for the bot. The coat men had come for Rudy." (page 403) Rudy is annoying and cheep and will do any thing to get Liesel, even though he is not in love with her. Rudy and Liesel will be broken, in a sad and tragic way.

The relationship between Liesel and Rudy is strange. The hate each other, yet they love each other. They call each other names just to get on the other person's nerves. Rudy and Liesel have a relationship that would be hard to break.
ReplyDeleteRudy's life affects Liesel because he tells her to do things that will get her in trouble. They are both stubborn. Rudy is definitely more stubborn and thinks that the world is all fake and a game. Death says that Rudy dies. He also said he didn’t deserve it. Maybe that could separate their relationship.
Rudy always plays around, but Liesel tries to warn him that he should pay attention. Page 241“A small announcement about Rudy Steiner- He didn’t deserve to die the way he did” That gives it away the end and you know what happens. He was ignorant and didn’t care about what people thought of him.

Rudy is so in love with Liesel and now I can prove it. I have no idea why though. She kind of treats him like krud. His famous line on page 303 is, "How about a kiss, Sa@#&%*ch?", and he obviously means the insult. Again on page 303, Death says, "He must have loved her so incredibly hard."
ReplyDeleteTheir relationship could be argued about. I think that Liesel secretly loves Rudy. Though, Rudy half loves her and half hates her. Their relationship in pretty bad.
Rudy's life really affects Liesel. He is like a non-Jew Max almost! Rudy loves Liesel and that gives her the power to keep going on throughout life. He truthfully is ,in my opinion, better than Max.
Rudy and Liesel are the best of friends. Personaly, I don't think their relationship could get any better. Rudy is deeply in love with Liesel, and she problably secretly likes him back. (Rudy bowed. "my pleasure." He tried for a little more. "no point asking if I get a kiss for that, I guess?")-pg. 290

I think Rudy and Liesel's relationship is not that good. They call each other mean names, which doesn't seem too romantic. One quote by Liesel states "Get lost Saukerl, you're the last thing I need right now." pg. 346
ReplyDeleteI think Rudy is in love with Liesel because he constantly asks for a kiss. Although she always says "no" he keeps on trying. I can't think of any other reason he asks for kisses than that he likes Liesel. On the other hand, he could be showing off.
Rudy's life effects Liesel by giving her someone to play with and someone to talk to. Even though Max has left, maybe Liesel feels she needs to tell Rudy.

Liesel and Rudy are good friends, and no matter what happens, they stick up for each other in a way.
ReplyDeleteRudy is deeply in love with Liesel, and every time he does something good for her, he asks for a kiss. And always, Liesel turns him down. It must be hard for them, being in tight situations. Like when Viktor Chemmel throws Liesel's book THE WHISTLER in the river insted of punishing Rudy for what he did. (The book was released gloriously from his hand. It opened and flapped, the pages rattling as it covered ground in the air. More abruptly than expected, it stopped and appeared to be sucked toward the water. It clapped when it hit the suface and began to float downstream.) - pg 302

Rudy and Liesel's relationship is very unique and strong. It's as close as a friendship could get.
ReplyDeleteRudy is in definately in love with Liesel. "How about a kiss, $@me%$@uc^?" [pg.303] Why would somebody be asking for a kiss if they don't love them?
I think their relationship is good, but they like to argue, and they relish it.
Rudy's life affect's Liesel's in a very big way. He can easily cheer Liesel up, and they love to steal together, though they look for different things. In a way, he is like Max, because he encourages her to move on.

Rudy is madly in love with Liesel but he shows it in a weird way. Like in floating book part 2 Rudy says he wants a kiss but death says that Rudy will die without getting a kiss from Liesel. Rudy is a big infulance in Liesel's life because she steels with him she goes to school with him and she wants to help him with the coat men. I think that there relationship is a good one because if they never met then Liesel would not have three of her books. I think that Rudy will get in trouble because he helped Hanns get to his house when he helped the Jew. Rudy is also scared to get a kiss from Liesel.

I think Rudy and Leisels relationship is very strong. I think Rudy loves Leisel more than they both know. He is always asking for kisses from her when he does anything for her good or bad. On page 290 it say Rudy said “No point in asking if I get a kiss for that, I guess?” “For bringing the shoes that YOU left behind?” Leisel answered. She also secretly smiled at when he made fun of her, and when he made jokes she pretended not to like. They do everything together. Whenever Leisel leaves her hose she has Rudy with her. Has she ever stolen any thing (aside from the grave diggers hand book) without Rudy? There before you are just a couple reasons why I think Rudy is in love with Leisel and Vic versa. sam
ReplyDeleteI don't thik that Rudy and Liesle's relationship is good or bad. They express how they hate each other by calling each other pigs, and donkeys. Just after he persuades her into a very deep section of the river to teach her to swim, he expects a kiss from her. "Does this mean I don't get a kiss for teaching you?"(pg. 150)
ReplyDeleteRudy is in love with Liesle. He always wants her to kiss him after he does something bad. When she delivered the laundry, he always went with her. Rudy also bothers Liesle alot, that's another sign of love. In class, he is the only person who stands up for Liesle.
Rudy's life affects Liesle because Liesle is tormented by Rudy. A daily greeting is calling her a pig. Then he makes her more than a book thief, they go to steel apples and potatoes from farms, and almost get wacked at with an ax. They also stole from a boy delivering food to Priests.
