  1. The curse affects Stanley because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. One day a pair of sneakers fell from the highway.Stanley saw them fall and picked one up and the other hit him on the head.He stared at them in disbelief and ran home exited. A police man stopped him and asked him why he was running. It turned out the shoes were stollen from a homeless shelter. Even though he didn't steal he still got blamed. He had to make a decision between jail or Camp Green Lake. Stanley blamed his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather.

  2. The curse affects Stanley by always making him be in the wrong place at the wrong time. One example is when he was walking home from school and the shoes fell on him. He was then sent to camp green lake to dig holes. The curse was put on his family when his great great grandfather forgot to carry the woman up the mountain. Stanley and his family was cursed from then on. That's how the curse affects Stanley.

  3. The curse in the book Holes affects Stanley by having him in the wrong place at the wrong time. For example, if Stanley hadn’t been trying to fetch his notebook out of a toilet, he wouldn’t have missed the bus, and he wouldn’t have been walking under the freeway when the shoes fell out of the sky. Then, if Stanley hadn’t been running with the sneakers when the police drove by, he wouldn’t be at Camp Green Lake in the first place. Also, if Stanley hadn’t tripped over an outstretched leg he wouldn’t have gotten into a fight with the “orange lump.” But none of that would of happened if Stanley’s no good, dirty, rotten, pig stealing, great, great grandfather had just carried Madame Zeroni up the mountain and sang her the special song as she drank from the river. _Ariana

  4. I think the curse has affected Stanley Yelnats in a couple ways. The way I think it affected Stanley the most was having to go to Camp Green Lake, even though he did not steal the shoes. Some other ways the curse has affected Stanley was that he didn't understand he was not going to go to a fun camp which would have tennis, archery, swimming, rock climbing, and more fun activities. Instead of doing fun activities, Stanley had to go to a camp where you have to dig five by five holes every day, in the hot sun. Along with waking up at five o’clock AM to go to breakfast and have bad meals, that weren’t very tasty. More ways the curse affected Stanley was when shoes fell into his arms, and he got accused of stealing them, and when he found the item that had the letters imprinted inside the heart, then he had to give it away. Hence, the no good dirty rotten great great pig stealing grandfather, did not carry the lady up the mountain to drink from the stream. Stanley Yelnats was affected by the curse in a few ways, and that's how.

  5. The curse affects Stanly alot. Well, first his great-grandfather was moving to califoBut now Stanleye of his no good rotten pig stealing great great granfather, his carrige was stolen. If that carrige wasn't stolen, Stanley the 4th would be living in a mansion in california. But now his family is very poor. One day some shoes fell on him it was actually some famouse baseball champion. he was arrested and given a choice ''to go to camp greenlake or jail.''He chose camp green lake and it was worse than jail in my perspective. That curse is very extremingly horrible

  6. The curse affects Stanley’s life because he always has bad luck, and if you always have bad luck lots of things can happen. For example: the sneakers fell one hit him on the head. Also if you call your great-great grandfather my dirty-rotten-no-good-pig-stealing-great-great grandfather the family relationship is not good. The curse also affects the way people treat him because the book say Derrick Dunne was always bulling him. The curse affects Stanley’s life in many ways, but mostly it affects his luck.

  7. The curs affect Stanly because of his no-good-dirty-rotten-great-great grandfather stole a pig. He is always at the wrong place at the wrong time. For example when the shoes fell out of the sky and he got caught, he had an option, go to jail or go to camp green lake. The whole thing stared when his no-good-dirty-rotten-great-great grandfather did not take the pig up the mountain like madam zroini told him to. I would not want to live with the curs Stanly has.
