Tale of Despereaux Due 10/8

"Love is powerful, wonderful and ridiculous." Do you agree? How does it effect Despereaux's life? This should be a minimum of five sentences. You  must use examples from the text to support your answer. This is worth five points.

  1. I think the people of the town of Green Lake who shot Sam got punished because there was no rain ever since Sam got killed. The drought lasted over 100 years and all the lake and peach trees dried up and died so people had to move away. At the end, I think the Warden, Ms. Walker, got punished the most for not releasing Stanley and for deleting all of Zero's files. She had to release the boys, sell the camp, and never got the treasure inside the suitcase, which she had been looking for since she was a child. I think the warden was punished the most, even more than Mr. Sir and Mr. Pendanski who just lost their jobs.

  2. Love effects the whole story because of Roscuro’s love of light the queen died. The kings love for the queen caused him to out-law soup witch brought Mig to the castle. Mean while Desperaux was born and was very odd witch made him fall in love with the princess. Roscuro’s hatred for the princess the main reason for example “Rat” the Pea yelled and the Roscuro realized he did not belong in a party and this lead him to Mig. Mig’s longing to be a princess made her believe that she could be a princess with Roscuro’s fake plan. Desperaux’s love and admiration for the princess led him to the dungeon to save the princess. Love is a strong and powerful thing witch is very true.

  3. I agree that love is powerful, wonderful, and ridiculous. It is ridiculous that Despereaux would love a human princess instead of a girl mouse. The time the book showed this astonishing love between the Princess Pea and Desperaux was when Despereaux was in the dungeon. He used this wonderful emotion to make him brave. This shows how love is powerful, love controls you, and you can't control love. Love affects Despereaux’s life deeply, and he feels that his life should be filled with the things he loves. Without them, life is nothing. Throughout the story, Despereaux fights to keep the things he loves, and which affect his life, near him.

  4. Love is powerful for Despreaux but it does effect him.First, he falls in love with the princess. As a result of that, he goes to court. Then, he goes to the dungeon by his own brother! When he goes to the dungeon he want to escape. After he escapes, Desperaux's tail gets cut of.when his tail gets cut of he dreams. When he dreams the evil rat steels the princess. But when that happens Desperaux eats some soup and saved the princess.Later he won her heart.

  5. Yes I do agree that love is powerful ,wonderful and ridiculous .In the story Despereaux has one chance to renounce his actions with the princess Pea but Despereaux didn't renounce his actions because he loved the princess. Despereaux keep feeling scared but when he thought of the princess he felt brave. Despereaux took his chances and crept up closer to the King's foot to listen to the music because he loved it. Despereaux loved the princess Pea so much that he went to the dungeon to rescue her which was a big deal since the dungeon was dark, smelly and difficult to find your way around. I think that love does affect Despereaux's life.

  6. If Desperaux hadn't come across love than his life would be much different. First a long time ago if Roscuro hadn't seen the light than he wouldn't have followed it. if he didn't follow it, than the queen wouldn't have died. Than if the queen hadn't died, than Desperaux wouldn't have followed the music that the king was playing. So, if Desperaux hadn't followed the music and met the princess, than he wouldn't have gone to the dungeon. So, it's a long series of events that would happen for the story to actually move anywhere. This is why I think that love is so important for the story and Desperaux's life.

  7. I agree that love is powerful, wonderful and ridicules and it affects Despereaux life. Love is powerful because it motivated Despereaux to save the princess. Love is wonderful because this story is wonderful but if there was no love it would suck. And last but not least, love is ridicules because such a small mouse cold saves the princess. I think love is powerful, wonderful and ridicules.
